Where do I find the FineTunebiz Cashbook Computer Code?

A: You will need to provide your FineTunebiz Cashbook Computer Code at the time of purchase so that we can provide you with your Activation Code. To find your Computer Code, open the Cashbook and click the FineTunebiz Menu item at the top of the screen. Click on Register and copy the Computer Code to the clipboard. |

Next, on the Shop page of www.finetunebiz.com, click Purchase Activation Code. Paste your Computer Code into the space (right click and select paste). Then click Buy Now to complete the purchase. Your Activation Code will be sent to you within 24hr. |
Please note that Your Activation Code entitles you to use the software on one computer.
I can't get FineTunebiz
Cashbook to work properly
Ensure your version of Excel is updated with the latest patches from Microsoft, then, depending on your version of Excel, follow the steps below to allow FineTunebiz Cashbook for work properly.
Excel 2003
- On the Tools menu, select Macro, and then click Security.
- On the Security Level Tab click to enable Low (not recommended).
- Click the Trusted Publishers tab.
- Select the Trust access to Visual Basic Project check box.
- Click OK.
Excel 2007
- Click the Microsoft Office Button (top left), then click Excel Options.
- Click Trust Center.
- Click Trust Center Settings...
- Click Macro Settings.
- Click to select the Trust access to the VBA project object model check box.
- Click to select Enable all Macros (not recommended potentially dangerous code can run).
- Click OK to close the Excel Options dialog box.
Excel 2010
- Click the File Menu item.
- Select Options from the left side bar.
- Click Trust Center Settings... button in the main window.
- Click Macro Settings in the left side bar.
- Click to select the Trust access to the VBA project object model check box.
- Click to select Enable all Macros (not recommended potentially dangerous code can run).
- Click OK to close the Excel Options dialog box.
I get the message to download a new version of LockXLS runtime. What is that?
LockXLS runtime is required for the proper operation of FineTunebiz Cashbook. You should update the application whenever a new version of LockXLS runtime is available.
Norton Symantec SONAR thinks FineTunebiz
Cashbook is a serious security risk. What can I do?
FineTunebiz Cashbook has been
independently Certified 100% clean. If you tell Norton SONAR to
reinstate FineTunebiz Cashbook and tick the box not to scan the file
again it does so anyway! We have advised Symantec and have been assured
that updated detections from 23 July 2010 will not have this problem; so
please keep your Symantec Software updated. We are working with Symantec
to permanently White list our software. If you do continue to encounter
problems, please contact us at
cashbook@finetunebiz.com and we will take the matter up with
Symantec.
When I install FineTunebiz Cashbook, what is installed on my computer?
A folder called FineTunebiz is installed in the Programs Menu. The folder contains the FineTunebiz Cashbook application and the Quick Start Guide. A shortcut to the Cashbook and Quick Start Guide is placed on the desktop.
How can I uninstall FineTunebiz Cashbook from my computer?
FineTunebiz Cashbook is uninstalled like any other application. Use the Add/Remove Programs (Windows XP) or Programs and Features (Vista, Windows 7) item in the Control Panel.
How does FineTunebiz Cashbook handle rounding?
In the Net Cash screen cents are rounded up if greater than 0.50. However, totals are calculated using 2 decimal places, and then rounded to the nearest whole number.
I’d like to use FineTunebiz Cashbook on two computers and transfer Cashbook files between the two computers. How can I do this?
An Activation Code needs to be purchased for each computer on which you want to use FineTunebiz Cashbook. You can then select Save As… to save your Cashbook file with a unique name and transfer the file to another computer on which FineTunebiz Cashbook is activated. For example, you can transfer FineTunebiz Cashbook files between your computer and your bookkeepers or accountants computer; or any other computer on which FineTunebiz Cashbook is
Activated.
Can I link the Budget worksheet to another Excel worksheet?
No. This feature is not supported. You can however copy spreadsheet data from a worksheet and paste it into a new worksheet.
Can I copy budget data from another Excel worksheet and paste it into the Budget worksheet?
No. This feature is not supported. Cutting and pasting data into the Budget worksheet is not supported and will corrupt the database.
Will FineTunebiz Cashbook work on my computer?
Try it for free! FineTunebiz Cashbook has been tested on numerous computer systems. It has been coded so that it runs on all computer systems running Windows XP (SP3), Windows Vista or Windows 7 running Excel 97-2003, 2007 or 2010, including Windows 32 bit and 64 bit systems. Please ensure it works on your computer setup before purchasing
an Activation Code. FineTunebiz does not offer refunds.
Do you provide technical support?
FineTunebiz Cashbook has been coded so that it does not have any external dependencies such as Active X Controls.
Please tell us if it doesn’t work on your computer.
Do you provide a discount for volume Licensing?

Do you provide accounting support or advice?
No. It is important you comply with accounting laws and regulations that apply for your country,
state or region. Please consult your accountant or bookkeeper if you are not sure how to set up your income and expense categories for your business.

Yes. Please send an email to cashbook@finetunebiz.com with your suggestions. We are continually upgrading the software to meet our customers’ needs.
Are upgrades free?
Yes. Once you have purchased an Activation Code there are no on-going
fees or annual subscriptions and upgrades are free. We will advise
Users if they should upgrade.
I’ve upgraded my computer and FineTunebiz Cashbook doesn’t work any more
If you have already purchased an Activation Code, please send an email to cashbook@finetunebiz.com with the new Computer Code so that we can resolve the problem.
My computer has crashed and I’ve lost all of my data. My computer now works again, but I can’t recover my Cashbook data. Can you help me?
No. It is essential that you make a regular backup of your Cashbook files.
I have Deactivated FineTunebiz Cashbook. Now I want to activate it again on the same computer but it says my Activation Code is Invalid. What can I do?
Deactivating FineTunebiz Cashbook permanently removes Activation Code information from your computer and prevents further reactivation. If you change your mind and want to use the product again, please copy your computer code and send it in an email to cashbook@finetunebiz.com. If you have paid for a valid Activation Code we will attempt to fix the problem for you.
Is a Mac version
available?
No. We know of Users running FineTunebiz Cashbook in emulation mode
on a Mac, and in native Windows mode after partitioning the hard rive
and installing Windows. We do not support or provide instructions for
installations on Mac computers.
Is there a FIND
function in the Data Entry Screen?
No. But it's on our 'to do' list.
